The 12 non Lennon-McCartney songs were first released on the 1982 album 'The Complete Silver Beatles' and this was followed by a number of differently titled budget albums between 1982 to 1985. These records were all deleted by the mid 1980's.
The CD debut of 5 of the DECCA songs came with the release of  'Anthology 1'  in 1995. This included 2 of the Lennon-McCartney songs. The CD release of the remaining 10 songs came with the 2013 album, 'I Saw Her Standing There'.
The DECCA audition ( January 1st 1962) was a failure, but the event is historically important for producing the first quality recordings by the group. It is also remembered for featuring Pete Best on drums.  For more information about the events click on The DECCA Audition (January 1 1962)

Hated by many, this amazing album may be of dubious quality, and the original tapes had a very chequered history, but this release is a fascinating study of The Beatles as performers before Brian Epstein filed off the edges. The recording were made in late December 1962, and featured Ringo Starr on drums. In 1981 Audiofidelity Enterprises remastered the songs and released them on the album 'The Beatles Historic Sessions'. The first CD release was in 1999 using the remastered tapes and reverting back to the original title. For more information see...The Star Club Tapes

* All Songs written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney unless stated.
None of these tracks have previously been released, however most have been released in their completed form or a different take, so the only songs I have left (in white) are songs that have never been released in any form previously.Although this series was a historical goldmine, it still comes across as very messy, and would have made a much better single album. (It later was released as 'Anthology Highlights'.

This album is a collection of non EMI tracks from 1961-1962, It states on the sleeve notes that 29 of the 49 tracks are previously unreleased, however, discarding the Tony Sheridan, tracks, there are 18 tracks of original interest.
The Beatles 1962 output was now 50 years old and therefore, in the public domain, so this explains the dubious quality of the recordings.
Featured on this album "Love of The Loved" was the last unreleased  Lennon & McCartney track from The DECCA audition. The album is a historically important one, although most of CD 1 consists of Tony Sheridan tracks, CD 2 includes many previously unreleased gems.
